March 2016 Tax Deadlines

March 15, 2016:

  • IRS Filing DatesForeign Persons US Income subject to withholdings
  • Employers Make Monthly Payroll tax deposit on the 15th of each month
  • S-Corp Election Decision Due (if applicable)
  • S-Corp Returns Due / Calendar Year
  • Issue K-1’s S Corporate Returns / Calendar Year
  • Corporate Returns Due / Calendar Year
  • Corporate Returns/S Corp Extensions Due / Calendar Year
  • Form 1042S – Foreign Persons US Income subject to withholdings
  • Form 1042 – Annual Tax Return of US Income subject to withholdings of Foreign Persons
  • Electing Large Partnerships – Issue K-1s to partners – even if your on extension
  • Electronic filing of W-3’s with Social Security Admin including issued W-2’s
  • Electronic filing of US transmittal of US information Returns
  • Social security, Medicare, and withheld income tax
  • Nonpayroll withholding

March 25, 2016:

  • Communications and air transportation taxes under the alternative method.

March 29, 2016:

  • Regular method taxes. Deposit the tax for the first 15 days of March.

March 31, 2016:

  • Electronic filing of Forms W2. File copies of all the Forms W2 you issued for 2015. This due date applies only if you electronically file.
  • Electronic filing of Forms W2G. File copies of all the Forms W2G you issued for 2015. This due date applies only if you electronically file.
  • Electronic filing of Forms 8027. File Forms 8027 for 2015. This due date applies only if you electronically file.
  • Wagering tax. File Form 730 and pay the tax on wagers accepted during February.
  • Heavy highway vehicle use tax. File Form 2290 and pay the tax for vehicles first used in February.
